How long have you been training at Fitness World?
Approximately six months and I attend twice per week
What are your fitness goals?
To improve strength (especially upper body) and all-round fitness.
How has Fitness World helped you achieve your goals?
As a female, I rarely did strength exercises in the gym as I was sometimes scared of injury and often felt afraid to try strength or weights amongst gym-goers who were clearly stronger than me.
Thiago has helped me with technique (how to lift, how not to lift, how to breathe, how not to breathe and so much more). He has designed a program for both my upper body and lower body that changes every six weeks (which is great, as I get bored really easily)!
In the last six months, my strength has improved considerably and I am definitely feeling healthier and stronger.
Why would you recommend Fitness World to friends and family?
Fitness World offers a friendly, welcoming environment with a personalised, tailored service. IYou are greeted by name (you’re not just a number) each time you visit. There are optional social events with other members too which are a great way to meet other like-minded people.
Fitness World surprised me on my birthday too with a present (I won’t tell you what it is as it will ruin your surprise), but it’s these little touches which makes the gym feel like an extension of my living room!
I also think it’s great value for money. Often people think personal training is exclusive as it’s more expensive than a ‘regular gym’. However, for me, the personal training sessions are worth the extra investment as I receive a personalised service which leads to successful results.
Having a personal trainer also makes me accountable which means I am less likely to skip a session. In fact, in six months, I haven’t missed a single session!
